ant Unable to locate tools.jar. Expected to find it in /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/lib/tools.jar

add the following to your .bashrc file

 export JAVA_HOME=/somedirectory/jdk1.5.0_08/

And reload the .bashrc file
